Donations to Special MinistriesPastor's Discretionary FundCan you imagine having to choose between eating and having electricity, or between washing your clothes or having money to put gas in your car to drive to work with? Pastor Mike meets people with these problems every week. Your gifts to this fund help to prevent these choices from having to be made.
Sierra Service ProjectSierra Service Project (SSP) is a Christian nonprofit organization providing life-changing youth service projects in low-income communities. FUMC has sent a team of youth and adult for many summers. Donations directly to FUMC with SSP noted, will help to support our youth's travel and living expenses for a week.
New Building ProjectConsider pledging to the second phase of fund raising for a new fellowship hall. With pledges for a second capital campaign goal of $400,000, we will be able to begin the groundwork, infrastructure and permit work that will allow us to put shovel to ground. Information envelopes and pledge cards are at the Get Connected table.
MemorialsAt the passing of a loved one, family members and friends have made contributions to the church. These may be designated for a specific purpose.
Legacy Giving: EndowmentsAn endowment is a permanent fund that has been established by the church to provide a perpetual stream of income designated purposes other than those covered by the General fund. The principal is kept intact with annual distributions from interest income. In most cases the principal of the endowment cannot be distributed except under very dire circumstances. A well-established endowment policy will provide funds for ministry over and beyond the current-expense budget. Therefore the church or agency will be able to engage in outreach ministries that would otherwise go unfunded.
Legacy Giving: Additional AssetsAssets such as stocks and bonds, real estate, retirement assets, and insurance can be given to the church.
